Eight Week Introductory Mindfulness Course
These hour-long weekly sessions are based on the Mindfulness Training Institute’s Introductory Mindfulness Course. Each week is a full, rich hour together either on Zoom or in person. US research shows that after an eight-week Mindfulness course, people are 28% less stressed, sleep 21% better and are $3,000 more productive. I will explain the neuroscience behind stress and the changes that Mindfulness creates in our brain. I will guide you through a short settling meditation and then ask you to articulate what is going on for you right now in your mind, body and heart. We will then explore whatever comes up (work, relationship, life), exploring in great detail so you can clearly see behind your own stories and narratives and start to understand your own mind.
Every week, we will explore a new aspect of our experience from breath and body to thoughts and emotions, self judgement to self compassion. You will take away some transformative yet simple ideas of how to bring this practice into your daily life.
You will leave each session more relaxed, more centred and more clear thinking, however difficult your current life experience.
These eight sessions will cover all aspects of the introductory Mindfulness meditation course. Starting with breath and body before finishing with self judgement and self compassion.
